Chris spicer - founder/director

Chris is the Founder and Director of Suesco Ltd. A highly experienced expert in the energy and carbon sector with over 17 years experience working across a range of sectors. Chris has worked on range of projects energy efficiency projects at Grade 1 listed buildings through to city scale heat networks using the River Thames as a heat source.

Prior to starting the company in 2016, Chris worked with some of the UK’s leading multi national consultancies and completed a Masters at Kings College London.

He has worked on some of the UK’s most high profile and successful energy and carbon reduction programmes. This includes the GLA’s building retrofit programme which enabled over £100m of investment in building retrofit across London and the Corporation of London decarbonisation projects at Guildhall and Barbican.

ariq rahman

Ariq Rahman is a Net Zero and Energy Consultant at Susesco, specialising in the delivery of building retrofit and net zero programmes. He brings a strong background in project and programme management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic energy consultancy, with a focus on practical climate solutions.

Ariq’s expertise spans renewable technology consulting, heat network development, energy project procurement, and business case development. He has worked with a range of public and private sector clients to deliver impactful, large-scale decarbonisation projects.

Prior to joining Susesco in 2024, Ariq was a Consulting Senior Associate at Element Energy/ERM. His project portfolio includes leading roles in high-profile initiatives such as the City of London Corporation’s Climate Action Strategy, Westminster City Council’s Heat Network Renewal, and the Hydrogen Village Trial for Cadent. He has also contributed to strategic hydrogen infrastructure projects across Europe through his work with Clean Hydrogen JU. Ariq holds a BA in Geography from the University of Portsmouth and an MA in Environment and Development from King’s College London. He is driven by the urgent need to address the climate crisis and is committed to delivering real-world, actionable solutions to support a net zero future.
